As the term suggests, Partner-Work is the expression of Mambo through the unique discipline of coordinated and synchronized movement and communication of 2 or more individuals.

But how do we continue this practice during times when connecting to another person simply isn't possible?

Partner-Work Skills Training is designed for both leads and follows to develop the tools and techniques specific to their individual roles within the partner-dance structure. It also allows both parties to explore the opposite side's practice as a means for better understanding the lead-follow relationship.
This course begins with separate warmups for both the lead and follow, each consisting of fundamental patterns of footwork relevant to the lesson. The instructional portion of the course follows, including hand, arm, and footwork exercises, and finishes with a sequence created for applying these elements in our dancing.

Whether you are practicing on your own or fortunate enough to have your partner with you, this course is sure to sharpen and refine your individual skills, as well as deepen your understanding of how to communicate this with a partner.

As always, we encourage everyone to train safely. Please consult your local pandemic restrictions if considering practice with a partner.
